A Control Panel is a web-based user interface using which you can handle numerous aspects of your online presence. For example, you may create or edit website files, create and check emails, control databases, check visitor stats etc. Those things are done using buttons and menus in an internet browser and the Control Panel may also be called ‘back office’, i.e. the administrative area associated with your hosting account. Most Control Panels on the market will permit you to control all hosting-related matters, but you will commonly require a different system to deal with payments or to get a new domain when the company offers domain registrations. With respect to the platform they employ, you may be able to use the billing account to open a support ticket to ask a question or to resolve an issue too, or you may need to employ a 3rd system.
